FOX International Channels has appointed Debarpita Banerjee as vice-president, marketing. In her new role, Banerjee will be responsible for marketing and communications for the bouquet of channels under the company in India, including National Geographic Channel, Fox History and Entertainment, Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music and National Geographic Channel HD.
Banerjee says in an official communiqué, "In my new role, the aim is to strengthen the existing brands in the Indian subcontinent. While advertising has been full of challenges and excitement, brand building subsumes advertising and will, hopefully, throw up a new set of challenges."
