FOX International Channels appoints Debarpita Banerjee as vice-president, marketing

Banerjee will be responsible for marketing and communication initiatives for the bouquet of channels under FOX International Channels in India

FOX International Channels has appointed Debarpita Banerjee as vice-president, marketing. In her new role, Banerjee will be responsible for marketing and communications for the bouquet of channels under the company in India, including National Geographic Channel, Fox History and Entertainment, Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music and National Geographic Channel HD.

She comes on board with 14 years of experience in the industry. Earlier, she has been associated with advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett and JWT and has handled accounts for brands such as Horlicks, ICI Dulux, Coca-Cola, GSK and SBI.

Banerjee says in an official communiqué, "In my new role, the aim is to strengthen the existing brands in the Indian subcontinent. While advertising has been full of challenges and excitement, brand building subsumes advertising and will, hopefully, throw up a new set of challenges."

Banerjee holds a Masters degree in communication from Clarion College of Communication.

Keertan Adyanthaya, managing director, FOX International Channels and National Geographic Network India, says in an official communiqué, "As part of our leadership team, Banerjee will spearhead marketing and communications for the network channels. She comes with a rich experience of working on the strategy for diverse international brands and under her leadership, we are confident that our brands across the channels will be strengthened even further."
