ZenithOptimedia and Maxus were also in the fray

Following a multi agency pitch, the media duties for sports apparel and athletics brand Puma have been won by OMD. ZenithOptimedia was the incumbent. Sources have confirmed that ZenithOptimedia and Maxus were also in the fray for the account.

Speaking to afaqs!, Jasmin Sohrabhji, managing director, OMD, says, "Considering the fact that the brand will target young men and women, we will use multiple touch points. Crucial aspects like budget and the right time to launch campaigns are yet to be finalised."

The account size could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

Puma India was incorporated in 2005, with its corporate office in Bengaluru. With presences in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the company plans to bring the brand to the Indian subcontinent in a big way through aggressive expansion to establish strong retail presence across the country.

Puma India manufactures 80 per cent of its apparel and 25 per cent of its footwear in India. It runs retail operations across the country, along with servicing other multi brand outlets.
