With over 13 years of experience, Virmani, vice-president of the international mobile business will focus on the Middle East and the UK market

Hungama Mobile, part of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, has appointed Sunny Virmani as vice-president of the international mobile business.

Virmani will be responsible for leading Hungama's global growth and operations in the mobile space. Under his leadership, the team will work very closely with the company's content and service partners globally.

With this appointment, Hungama has strengthened its management team, with a focus on the Middle East region and United Kingdom.

Virmani has over 13 years of experience in filmmaking, entertainment, marketing, consulting and technology, and has worked with many prestigious and boutique companies in the USA and in India.

Prior to joining Hungama, Virmani was president of VCXel Entertainment, where he led the strategic direction and operations of the company. He was also the producer and creative director of the company's films and events. He has created, marketed and distributed entertainment content for global audiences, as well as for the Indian diaspora.

The international mobile business is key for Hungama, the largest aggregator, developer, publisher and distributor of Bollywood and South Asian digital entertainment content in the world, which has worldwide exclusive rights to over half-a-million music and video titles. It powers nearly 50-75 per cent (circle dependent) of all mobile entertainment content in India, through various services spanning the entire gamut of digital entertainment.
