Turner International India and Tata Sky have come together to form a strategic content partnership. As part of the association, Turner International India will have its linear branded block from its kids' channel, Cartoon Network (CN), available on Tata Sky. The linear branded content block, called CN+, will be available on Actve Wizkids as part of the DTH (Tata Sky) provider's Actve services.
Siddharth Jain, vice-president and deputy general manager, distribution and business operations, South Asia, Turner International India, says, "These are exciting times for the industry, with innovations on content delivery and consumption in digital platforms, designed to entertain consumers. CN+ promises innovative experiences for our consumers, further strengthening Turner's anytime-anywhere strategy. It's an industry first as this partnership offers three unique services on one platform - linear branded block, interactive services and interactive games."
CN+ entertains viewers with CN originals comprising Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and other globally popular shows such as Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes. CN+ will dedicate each day of the week to showcase one of its popular shows, with multiple episodes throughout the day.
Besides CN content, Actve Wizkids will also feature the "makes" of M.A.D. (Music, Art and Dance), Pogo's award winning and popular arts show which showcases educational activities in a step by step, do-it-yourself format.
There are also plans to launch interactive games with characters from shows such as Ben 10, Tom and Jerry, The Powerpuff Girls and Scooby Doo.
Vikram Mehra, chief marketing officer, Tata Sky, comments, "Our educational services have already got a loyal subscriber base of more than one million. The addition of CN+ will help us further improve our offering."
