As automobile giant Maruti Suzuki gears up to launch its latest sports sedan Maruti Kizashi in India, the company is simultaneously looking for a suitable creative partner. Sources have confirmed that all of Maruti's roster agencies are in the fray, including Publicis Capital, Lowe Lintas and Dentsu Creative Impact.
The first round of briefing is over and soon, the participating agencies will make the first set of presentations.
According to industry experts, Kizashi will be Maruti's response to the Honda Civic as the company plans to offer more features in the price range of Rs 10-12 lakh. Apparently, this is a make or break situation for the company, which is making its foray into the segment.
Suzuki, Japanese auto major and parent company of Maruti India, currently sells Suzuki Kizashi in the US and Japan. The mid-size car was showcased for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007, followed by the Tokyo Motor Show in the same year. After showcasing the Maruti Kizashi at different auto shows across the world, it was launched commercially in Japan and the US in October 2009 and December 2009, respectively.
Interestingly, the company also displayed the production model of the car at the Auto Expo held in Delhi this year.
