Kunal Mukherjee to head UTV Bindass as head, marketing

Mukherjee is already head of the marketing portfolio of UTV World Movies, UTV Movies and UTV Action

UTV Bindass has appointed Kunal Mukherjee as head, marketing. At UTV, Mukherjee is already spearheading three other channels, including UTV World Movies, UTV Movies and UTV Action.

Kanika Saxena, associate vice-president, marketing, UTV Bindass put in her papers recently, after spending two years at the organisation. Mukherjee's appointment is being seen as a step to fill the vacancy at UTV Bindass.

Commenting on the appointment, Nikhil Gandhi, business head, UTV Bindass, says, "Mukherjee will take on the role of marketing head for brand Bindass, in addition to his current portfolio of marketing head, UTV World Movies, UTV Movies and UTV Action. He brings with him tremendous passion, energy and substantial experience, which will take brand Bindass to a whole new level."

Mukherjee, in his new role, will be overseeing all marketing activities for the brand, with a focus on marketing, including TV, events, web, PR, mobile and on-air promotion.

Mukherjee has an industry experience of six years, specialising in marketing. Earlier, he was marketing head, Zoom TV.

Besides Zoom, he has also been associated with TAM and S-Group.
