RAM Week 41: Close contest for second and third positions in Mumbai

Red FM and Radio City tie at No. 2 with identical market shares of 14 per cent; while Big FM and AIR FM Gold tie for the next position with a market share of 12 per cent each

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 41 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

RAM Week 41: Close contest for second and third positions in Mumbai
Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 18 per cent, which is the same as its average market share for the last four weeks. The radio station has gained 0.2 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 40.

This week, both Red FM and Radio City have identical market shares of 14 per cent. There is a close fight for second position between the two radio stations.

For the next spot too, there is a tie between Big FM and AIR FM Gold, with each station getting a market share of 12 per cent. Big FM has gained 0.1 percentage point this week; while AIR FM's market share remains the same as last week.

Fever FM follows, with a market share of 11 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage point over the previous week.

Radio One is at No. 7, with a market share of 6 per cent, losing 0.7 percentage point. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow and Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 5 per cent each.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 41 are Oye! FM and Akashvani Mumbai, with a market share of 2.5 per cent each.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 24 per cent, which is the same as its average market share for the last four weeks.

Fever FM is No. 2 with a market share of 18 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Gold, which has a market share of 17 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10 per cent; while Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 9 per cent.

Big FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 8 per cent. It is followed by Radio One with a market share of 6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage point in comparison to Week 40.

Among other stations in Delhi in Week 41 is Oye! FM, which has a market share of 3 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, Hit FM and Vividh Bharati (2 per cent each).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 20 per cent, which is the same as its last four weeks' average market share.

At No. 2, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17 per cent with a loss of 0.8 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is 18 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 15 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage point. Its last four weeks' average market share is 16 per cent.

Radio City is placed next with a market share of 13 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage point in comparison to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is also 13 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 with a market share of 10 per cent, with a gain of 0.3 percentage point; while its last four weeks' average market share is also 10 per cent.

Red FM has moved up a place to No. 6, with a market share of 9 per cent and a gain of 0.6 percentage point. Radio One, at No. 7, has a market share of 8 per cent.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 41 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 5 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (3 per cent) and Gyan Vani (1 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 21 per cent; while Big FM and Friends FM are at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Big FM has a market share of 18 per cent. Friends FM has a market share of 12 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage point over Week 40. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 11 per cent, which is the same as its last four weeks' average market share.

This week, both Fever FM and Red FM have managed an identical market share of 9 per cent each.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 6 per cent, with a loss of 0.3 percentage point. Oye! FM has registered a market share of 5 per cent with a gain of 0.6 percentage point.

Among other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 4 per cent; followed by AIR FM Gold (3 per cent), Akashvani and Power FM (2 per cent each) and Vividh Bharati (1 per cent).
