Times Television Network has appointed Avinash Kaul to head its Bollywood entertainment network, Zoom, as chief executive officer.

Times Television Network has roped in Avinash Kaul to head its Bollywood entertainment network, Zoom, as chief executive officer. Kaul will report to Sunil Lulla, managing director and chief executive officer, Times Television Network.

Speaking to afaqs!, Lulla says, "As CEO, Zoom Entertainment Network (ZEN), Avinash's current focus will be Zoom and will eventually move to other channels as and when they come under ZEN in due course of time.

"As we embark to scale newer heights, Avinash, with his experience across various aspects of television, will play a crucial role in ensuring that Zoom becomes the only port of call for all Bollywood lovers. We will also leverage his experience and talent to grow the strength and franchise of the Times Television Network."

Kaul brings to the network 12 years of experience in the television business. He started his career as a media planner with HTA Fulcrum, moving on to Discovery Communications and STAR India. Subsequently, at NDTV Media, he spent several years handling diverse portfolios of operations, marketing and also headed its consulting division.
