RAM Week 46: Radio City gains in Mumbai

In Mumbai, Radio City has registered a gain of 2.3 percentage points in market share.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 46 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.3 per cent.

Radio city has moved up to the second position, leaving behind Red FM.

Radio City has a market share of 14.7 per cent with a jump of 2.3 percentage points and its last four weeks' average market share is 13.4 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 12.6 per cent, registering a marginal loss of 0.3 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 13.5 per cent.

Big FM is at the fourth position in Mumbai with a market share of 11.7 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 11.8 per cent.

Air FM Gold occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 11.3 per cent, which is the same as last week.

Fever FM is No. 6 in the city with a market share of 11.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points in comparison to Week 45. Its last four weeks' market share is registered at 11.4 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 5.5 per cent and a loss of 0.2 percentage points. AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5.3 per cent with a loss of 0.6 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 46 are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.6 per cent, followed by Oye FM (2.7 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 24.2 per cent, a bit lower than its last four weeks' average share of 24.3 per cent. It saw a gain of 0.1 percentage points in Week 46.

The next two spots are occupied by Fever FM and AIR FM Gold, with market shares of 18.1 per cent and 17.2 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM has lost 0.1 percentage points; AIR FM Gold has registered a loss of 0.7 percentage points. The average market shares of the stations are 18.3 per cent and 17.5 per cent respectively.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Radio City is at the fifth position with a market share of 8.3 per cent, without any change in the market share over the previous week.

In Week 46, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 7.1 per cent and 5.3 per cent respectively, occupying the sixth and seventh positions. The average market share of Red FM is 7.6 per cent and that of Radio One is 5.4 per cent.

Oye! FM and AIR FM Rainbow follow with market shares of 2.4 per cent and 2.0 per cent respectively.

Bengaluru

As always, Big FM leads in Bengaluru with a market share of 19.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 19.7 per cent.

Radio Mirchi, at No. 2, has a market share of 17.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 17.3 per cent. Fever FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 16.0 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage points. Its average market share for the previous four weeks is 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is at the fourth position with a market share of 12.9 per cent, which is 0.2 per cent more than its average market share of the past four weeks. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, which has a market share of 9.0 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage points in comparison to Week 45.

At No. 6, Red FM has a market share of 8.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Radio One follows with a market share of 8.2 per cent, registering the same share as the previous week. The radio station's average market share for the past four weeks is 8.4 per cent.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 46 are Vividh Bharti, which has a market share of 5.0 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.1 per cent) and Gyan Vani (1.1 per cent).

Kolkata

As usual, Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.1 per cent, registering a loss of 1.2 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 20.9 per cent.

Big FM is No. 2 with a market share of 17.7 per cent, without showing any change compared to last week. Friends FM and Amar FM are at No. 4 and No. 5 positions respectively. Friends FM registered a market share of 11.8 per cent, while Amar FM recorded a market share of 10.8 per cent. Interestingly, both the radio stations did not register any loss or gain compared to the previous week.

Red FM is placed fifth with a market share of 8.8 per cent, recording a gain of 0.5 percentage points. Fever FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 8.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 6.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Oye! FM follows with a market share of 4.4 per cent and without any loss or gain compared to the previous week.

This week, among other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow and Air FM Gold have secured market shares of 3.9 per cent and 3.2 per cent respectively.
