RAM Week 52: Radio Mirchi and Big FM top the charts once again

Radio City loses 0.8 per cent in Mumbai.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 52 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 16.2 per cent, 0.1 per cent less than the previous week's ratings. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.0 per cent.

Radio City holds the second position, with a market share of 14.2 per cent and a loss of 0.8 per cent. Its average market share over the last four weeks has been 14.5 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 3 position and has a market share of 13.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 per cent. Its average market share in the last four weeks is 13.4 per cent.

Big FM is at the fourth position in Mumbai, with a market share of 12.5 per cent, with its average market share in the last four weeks being 12.2 per cent.

Both Fever FM and Air FM Gold occupy the fifth spot, with market shares of 11.2 per cent each. In the previous week, the stations recorded ratings of 11.1 per cent and 11.2 per cent respectively.

Radio One is placed sixth with a market share of 5.8 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow is No. 7, with a market share of 4.8 per cent, with a gain of 0.3 percentage points.

In Week 52, Vividh Bharati is at eighth position with a market share of 4.5 per cent.

As for the other stations in Mumbai, Oye! FM has a market share of 3.8 per cent, followed by Akashavani Mumbai (2.2 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 23.9 per cent. Its average market share in the last four weeks has been 24.5 per cent. It registered a loss of 0.3 per cent in the current week.

The next two spots are occupied by Fever FM and AIR FM Gold, with market shares of 17.8 per cent and 17 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM registered a gain of 0.2 per cent, AIR FM Gold lost 0.4 per cent in market share. The last four weeks' average market shares of the two stations are 18.2 per cent and 15.7 per cent, respectively.

Red FM is at No. 4 position, with a market share of 10.1 per cent, having registered no gain or loss compared to last week's ratings.

Big FM and Radio City jointly hold the fifth position in Week 52, with a market share of 8.1 per cent. In the last four weeks, the radio stations averaged 7.5 per cent and 8.2 per cent respectively.

Radio One has garnered a market share of 5.5 per cent, occupying the sixth position. The average market share of Radio One in the last four weeks has been 5.7 per cent.

Oye! FM and Hit 95 FM follow at seventh and eighth positions with market shares of 2.5 per cent and 2.4 per cent, respectively.

Among the other radio stations in Delhi, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 2.3, while Vividh Bharati has a share of 2.1 per cent.

Bengaluru

Once again, Big FM leads in Bengaluru with a market share of 20.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 per cent. Its average market share in the last four weeks has been 20.5 per cent.

Radio Mirchi, at No. 2 position, has a market share of 17.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 per cent. Its average market share in the last four weeks has been 17.5 per cent. Fever FM is No. 3 and has a market share of 15.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 per cent. Its average market share for the previous four weeks has been 15.2 per cent.

Radio City is in the fourth position, with a market share of 13.2 per cent, which is 0.1 per cent more than its previous week's market share. It is followed by Red FM and Radio One, with market shares of 9.8 per cent and 7.7 per cent respectively.

AIR FM Rainbow, which has a market share of 7.3 per cent, has registered no loss or gain as compared to last week.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 52 are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 5.7 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.4 per cent) and Gyan Vani (1.1 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent over the previous week. In the last four weeks, its average market share has been 20.3 per cent.

Big FM is No. 2 with a market share of 18.1 per cent, shedding 0.2 per cent share since the previous week. Friends FM and Aamar FM are at No. 3 and No. 4 positions respectively. Friends FM registered a market share of 11.2 per cent, while Aamar FM recorded a market share of 10.9 per cent.

Fever FM is placed fifth with a market share of 9.5 per cent, recording a gain of 0.7 per cent. Red FM is at No. 6 position, with a market share of 8.6 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 per cent.

Radio One is No. 7, with a market share of 6.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 per cent over the previous week. Oye! FM follows next, with a market share of 4.8 per cent and with a gain of 0.6 per cent compared to the previous week.

This week, among other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold and Air FM Rainbow have secured market shares of 3.4 per cent and 2.4 per cent respectively.
