Verma was earlier with Yahoo! India as director, sales strategy.
Digital media firm, Komli Media, which runs the online traffic measurement tool, Vizisense.com, and an online ad network, has appointed Gulshan Verma as vice-president and country head, ad network (India and Middle East). Prior to this, Verma was working with Yahoo! India as director, sales strategy.
A company official has confirmed the development to afaqs!. However, he declined to reveal further details about the appointment.
Verma is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business, Kellogg School of Management and London School of Economics. He has also worked at McKinsey & Company and Associated Press.
Recently, Komli Media announced that it had received funding of Rs 67.5 crore ($15 million), led by Norwest Venture Partners. The company's existing set of investors, Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson had also invested in the company.
At that time, Komli Media had also divulged that it plans to expand its operations throughout India and across key markets in Asia Pacific, and that it would further invest in its two core businesses of the ad network and the audience measurement tool.
