Radio Mirchi, Big FM gain more market share: Week 4

Radio Mirchi gained 0.9 per cent in Mumbai, 1.2 per cent in Delhi, and 0.5 per cent in Kolkata, while Big FM gained 0.9 per cent in Bengaluru.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 4 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi, Big FM gain more market share: Week 4
Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 16.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 per cent over the previous week. Its average market share for the last two weeks stands at 16 per cent.

Radio City is at the second position with a market share of 13.5 per cent, while its last two weeks' average market share is 13.7 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 13.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percent. Its last two weeks' average market share is also 13.1 per cent.

Big FM is at fourth position in Mumbai with a market share of 12.9 per cent, and its last two weeks' market share being 12.4 per cent.

Air FM2 Gold occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 10.7 per cent. The station's previous week's rating was 11.4 per cent.

Fever FM is No. 6 in the city with a market share of 10.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 per cent as compared to the last two week's average market share of 11.1 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh, with a market share of 6 per cent, having lost 0.6 per cent. AIR FM1 Rainbow has a market share of 4.8 per cent with a gain of 0.4 per cent.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 4 are Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 4.8 per cent, followed by Oye! FM with 3.5 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 25.1 per cent, registering a gain of 1.2 per cent compared to Week 3. The radio station's average market share for the last two weeks is 23.3 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM2 Gold occupy the next two spots, with market shares of 18.2 per cent and 15.5 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM has lost 0.7 per cent, AIR FM2 Gold did not register any loss or gain compared to the previous week's ratings. The average market share for both the stations in the last two weeks are 19 and 16.7 per cent, respectively.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 11.2 per cent has registered a gain of 0.4 per cent. Radio City is at fifth position with a market share of 9.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 per cent over the previous week.

In Week 4, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 6.3 per cent and 4.9 per cent, respectively, occupying sixth and seventh positions, as compared to the respective market shares of 7.6 and Radio One is 5.7 in the previous week.

Next in line are Oye! FM and HIT 95 FM, whose market shares are 2.7 and 2.5 per cent, respectively.

Bengaluru

As always, Big FM leads in Bengaluru with a market share of 19.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 percent, as compared to 18.7 per cent, which is the average market share in the last two weeks.

Radio Mirchi at No. 2 has a market share of 18.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent. The average market share for the last two weeks has been 17.5 per cent. Fever FM is at No. 3 has a market share of 15.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.8 per cent compared to Week 3. Its average market share for the last two weeks was 14.9 per cent.

Radio City is at fourth position with a market share of 13.3 per cent, which is 0.9 per cent less than last week.

Red FM is at No.5 with a market share of 9 per cent, which is 0.5 percent less compared to last week's rating.

AIR FM1 Rainbow follows with a market share of 7.8 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 per cent as compared to Week 2.

At No. 7, Radio One has a market share of 7.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 per cent. Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 5.6 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 per cent over the previous week. The radio station's average market share for the past two weeks is 6.1 per cent.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 4 are Radio Indigo, which has a market share of 2.4 per cent, followed by Gyan Vani (1.3 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.9 percentage points. Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third, respectively.

Big FM has a market share of 17.2 per cent, without registering any loss or gain compared to the previous week. Friends FM has a market share of 12.1 registering a gain of 0.2 per cent.

Both the radio station's average market share for the last two weeks are 17.5 and 12.0 per cent.

Aamar FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 11.6 per cent registering a loss of 0.3 per cent.

Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city with a market share of 9.4 per cent. Its average market share for the last two weeks was 9.3 per cent.

Red FM and Radio One are next in line, with market shares 8.2 per cent and 5.2 per cent, respectively. Oye! FM follows with a market share of 4.5 per cent.

In Week 4, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2 Gold has a market share of 3.9 per cent, followed by AIR FM1 Rainbow (2.8 per cent), Akashavani (2 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
