OOH professionals Yuvraj Agarwal and Satish Kailash Singh, who set up their entrepreneurial venture Realm Media in April 2010, decided to bring Naidu on board since the company has expansion plans in the pipeline.

Agarwal, founder and chief executive officer, Realm Media Solutions, tells afaqs!, "We felt the need for someone to look specifically into developing the OOH business as Realm now wants to venture into other media, more specifically digital media, in the next two months. Also, we have had a long and wonderful association with Sailesh during his previous stints at TDI and Laqshya. We look forward to extending this relationship to a new level with this association."

Prior to TDI International, Naidu was vice-president, Laqshya Hyderabad Airport Media. He has also worked with Outdoor Media Integrated (OMI), the OOH arm of Laqshya Media Group. He's had an earlier stint at TDI International India, as well, and has worked for ICICI Bank for three-and-a-half years.

His career has spanned various sectors including the office automation industry, airport advertising, banking and OOH. He has worked on major accounts and at OMI, was instrumental in pitching for and winning accounts such as LG Electronics, Tata DOCOMO, Maruti Suzuki, Carlsberg, Bausch & Lomb and DRS Logistics.

Naidu says, "It is a marvellous opportunity to team up with Satish and Yuvraj, who have been phenomenal during our association at OMI. It only goes on to strengthen my vision to make it big in the outdoor canvas. We have an ambitious year ahead and I am confident that we will drive the growth trajectory. It is a challenging position - both in terms of professional entrepreneurship as well as creating a niche for Realm Media."

Agarwal adds, "These are exciting times at Realm. It was wonderful to witness all our plans materialise over the past year. We received a lot of encouragement from the clients and vendors alike. It is wonderful to see that there are people who value transparency, hard work, innovation and accountability."

He shares that within six months of the company officially commencing its operations (in June 2010), it clocked a turnover in excess of US$5 million.

For the record, Realm Media is backed by a set of experienced people who, between them, account for more than 60 years of extensive experience in the media sector in India and Southeast Asia. Around its launch last year, the company managed to attract an angel funding to the tune of US$3 million, approximately.

Some of its current clients include JSW Group, Max Bupa Health Insurance, HDFC Bank, DHFL, Platinum Guild International, Lee Cooper and Finolex Cables.
