The Advertising Club Cochin and Pepper Creative Awards Trust have announced the fifth edition of the Pepper Creative Awards.
Entries have been invited from advertising agencies in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. The last date for receipt of entries is March 10.
A four-member panel comprising Agnello Dias, founder, TapRoot, Priti Nair, founder, Curry-Nation, Raj Nair, executive creative director, Contract Advertising and Dinesh Warrier, leading digital media expert will evaluate the entries for this year's edition of the Pepper Awards.
Talking about the jury, Oommen Kurian, chairman, Pepper Creative Awards Trust, says, "The four persons have proven credentials in heading juries of a similar nature at national and international levels."
On being part of the panel, Dias says, "Last year, it was a nice experience judging the Pepper Creative Awards. I got to see some real good work, which we do not really get to see much, as it happens down South."
Nair comments, "I really look forward to seeing some good work down South, particularly as this area feels a bit left out. These awards will definitely encourage creativity. We will definitely get an essence of South India, which we miss out in national campaigns."
The award categories include Agency of the Year, Advertiser of the Year, Art Director of the Year, Copywriter of the Year, Special Jury Award, Campaign of the Year, Press Campaign, TV Commercial, Corporate AV, Outdoor, Radio, Cyber, Integrated, Public Service, Viral, FM station, Interactive - Web-based, POP, Direct Mailer, Photography, Packaging, Logo Design, Unpublished Works and PR and Promos.
The awards also have an exclusive section for participants from Kerala, with categories such as jewellery, real estate, textile, hospitality, Ayurveda, and others.
The awards ceremony will be held on April 02 at Le Meridien Hotel Pool Side, Cochin. Award winners will be given gold, silver and bronze trophies and certificates.
"We are expecting more than 2,000 entries for the competition, which has become a stepping stone for the creative fraternity from this part of the world to take part in other major peer-reviewed national and international competitions," says Sudeep Kumar, president, Advertising Club, Cochin.
