Radio Mirchi loses market share in all metros, except Kolkata: Week 6

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 6 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city, with a market share of 14.8 per cent, registering a loss of 1.7 per cent over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 16.2 per cent.

Radio City is at the second position with a market share of 13.3 per cent, while its last four weeks' average market share is 13.5 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 12.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.7 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is also 13.0 per cent.

Big FM is at fourth position in Mumbai with a market share of 12.8 per cent, its last four weeks' market share being 12.8 per cent.

Air FM2-Gold occupies the fifth spot, with a market share of 11.7 per cent. The station's previous week's rating was 11.1.

Fever FM is No. 6 in the city with a market share of 11.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh, with a market share of 5.9 per cent, having lost 0.2 per cent. AIR FM-Rainbow has a market share of 4.9 per cent, without losing or gaining any market share.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 6 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 4.7 per cent, followed by Oye! FM, with 4.6 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 22.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 per cent compared to Week 5. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 23.7 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM2-Gold occupy the next two spots, with market shares of 19.8 per cent and 14.2 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM has gained 0.7 per cent, AIR FM2-Gold lost 1.5 per cent compared to the previous week's ratings. The average market share for both the stations in the last four weeks are 18.8 and 16.1 per cent, respectively.

Both Radio City and Red FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 9.8 per cent. Radio City has registered a gain of 0.6 per cent, while Red FM registered a loss of 1.6 per cent over the previous week.

In Week 6, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 7.1 per cent and 5.9 per cent, respectively, occupying fifth and sixth positions, as compared to the respective market shares of 6.7 and Radio One is 5.5 in the previous week.

Next in line are Oye! FM, HIT 95 FM, and AIR FM1-Rainbow with market shares of 3.2, 2.9 and 2.5 per cent, respectively.

Bengaluru

As always, Big FM leads in Bengaluru with a market share of 17.6 per cent, but registering a loss of 1.5 per cent. The average market share in the last four weeks is 18.8 per cent.

Radio Mirchi at No. 2 has a market share of 17.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 per cent. The average market share for the last four weeks has been 18 per cent. Fever FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 15.1 per cent, without registering any loss or gain as compared to week 5. Its average market share for the last four weeks was 15.0 per cent.

Radio City is at fourth position with a market share of 13.2 per cent, which is 0.3 per cent less than last week.

Red FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 10.8 per cent, which is 1.3 per cent more as compared to last week's rating.

AIR FM1-Rainbow follows with a market share of 8.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 per cent as compared to Week 5.

At No. 7, Radio One has a market share of 7.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent. Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 5.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 per cent as compared to the previous week. The radio station's average market share for the past four weeks is 5.8 per cent.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 6 are Radio Indigo, which has a market share of 2.9 per cent, followed by Gyan Vani with 0.7 per cent.

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 21.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.7 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 20.5.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 17.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 per cent compared to the previous week. Friends FM has a market share of 12.2, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent.

Both radio stations' average market share for the last two weeks are 17.3 and 12.0 per cent, respectively.

Aamar FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 11.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 per cent.

Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city with a market share of 9.9 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks was 9.5 per cent.

Red FM and Oye! FM are next in line, with market shares 7.9 per cent and 4.6 per cent, registering losses of 0.1 and 0.4, respectively. Radio One follows with a market share of 4.5 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 5.2 per cent.

In Week 6, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2-Gold has a market share of 3.4 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.7 per cent). Akashavani and Power FM both follow with 1.7 per cent.
