RAM Week 8: Radio Mirchi dethroned by Radio City in Mumbai

Fever FM marches ahead in Bengaluru to jointly grab the first position.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 8 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio City is No. 1 in the city, dethroning Radio Mirchi with a market share of 15.1 per cent, registering a gain of 1.5 per cent over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 13.4 per cent.

Radio Mirchi is at the second position with a market share of 14.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 15.6 per cent.

Big FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 13.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.8 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 13.1 per cent.

Red FM is at the fourth position in Mumbai with a market share of 12.4 per cent, and its last four weeks' market share is 12.8 per cent.

Air FM-Gold occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 11.8 per cent. The station's previous week's share was 12 per cent.

Fever FM is No. 6 in the city, with a market share of 8.2 per cent, registering a loss of 1.8 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh, with a market share of 5.5 per cent, having lost 0.5 per cent in the past week. AIR FM-Rainbow has a market share of 5.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 8 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 5 per cent, followed by Oye! FM, with 4.4 per cent market share.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 21.4 per cent, registering a loss of 2.2 per cent compared to Week 7. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 23.8 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM2-Gold occupy the next two spots, with market shares of 20.9 per cent and 17 per cent respectively. While Fever FM has gained 0.2 per cent, AIR FM2-Gold gained 1.6 per cent compared to the previous week's ratings. The average market shares for the stations in the last four weeks are 19.5 per cent and 15.2 per cent, respectively.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 per cent. Its average for the last four weeks is 10.5 per cent.

Radio City holds the No. 5 spot with a market share of 9.3 per cent. The station's previous week's share is 9.4 per cent.

In Week 8, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 7.2 per cent and 5.5 per cent respectively, occupying the sixth and seventh positions. The average market shares of the stations for the last four weeks are 6.7 per cent and 5.4 per cent, respectively.

Next in line are Oye! FM, HIT 95 FM and AIR FM1-Rainbow, with market shares of 2.8 per cent, 2.3 per cent and 2.2 per cent, respectively.

Bengaluru

Though Big FM still holds the No. 1 position in Bengaluru, with a market share of 16.7 per cent, Fever FM also joins Big FM for a taste of the top position. The former registered a loss of 1.9 per cent and the latter, a gain of 1.1 per cent.

Radio Mirchi is at No. 2 with a market share of 16.6 per cent, registering a loss of 2 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks has been 18.2 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 3 and has a market share of 14.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 per cent compared to Week 7. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 13.5 per cent.

Red FM is at the fourth position with a market share of 13.5 per cent, which is 0.2 per cent more than last week.

Red FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 10.2 per cent, which is 0.2 per cent more compared to last week's rating.

Radio One follows with a market share of 7.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 per cent as compared to Week 7.

At No. 7, AIR FM1-Rainbow has a market share of 7.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.2 per cent. AIR FM1-Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 7 per cent, registering a gain of 1.7 per cent.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 8 are Radio Indigo, which has a market share of 2.4 per cent, followed by Gyan Vani (0.7 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.1 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 21 per cent.

Big FM and Aamar FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 16.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.9 per cent compared to the previous week. Aamar FM has a market share of 13.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.8 per cent. The radio stations' average market shares for the last two weeks are 17.5 per cent, and 12 per cent respectively.

Friends FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 12.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 per cent.

Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city with a market share of 9.8 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 9.7 per cent.

Red FM and Oye! FM are next in line, with market shares 8 per cent and 5.1 per cent, respectively. Radio One follows with a market share of 4.1 per cent.

In Week 8, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2-Gold has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.3 per cent), Power FM (1.7 per cent) and Akashavani (1.5 per cent).
