Bose will consolidate the existing businesses and work towards increasing presence and delivery ability of the agency in India, as well as Southwest Asia.
Cheil Worldwide Southwest Asia has appointed Ankur Bose as vice - president, below the line (BTL). The position has been created for him. He will join the agency from today.
Based in Gurgaon, Bose will work closely with Alok Agrawal, chief operating officer, Cheil Worldwide South west Asia. He moves in from OgilvyAction, where he was vice - president and business director.
Talking to afaqs!, Agrawal says, "Bose's rich experience and his track record makes him ideal to lead the team. I am sure he will drive integrated experiential solutions that will address specific brand problems. I feel his energy is well-aligned with the agency's vision and philosophy."
In a conversation with afaqs!, Bose says, "Last mile and in-store advertising are some of the fastest growing segments of the industry. I feel Cheil is the ideal platform in India to push this envelope."
Bose began his career designing exhibitions and writing copy at JWT in 1997. Subsequently, he joined Linterland (a part of the Lintas Group) as business head, events division. After four years at the agency, Bose shifted to OgilvyAction to head its rural business in Delhi. In a span of two years, he was promoted as vice - president and business director.
In a career spanning 14 years, Bose has worked with various brands such as Hindustan Unilever, Vodafone, Dabur, Castrol, Motorola, India Post, ICICI, Lafarge, Coca-Cola, Berger Paints, ITC, Orissa Tourism, Peerless, Tata Indicom, Mother Dairy and UNICEF.
