MPG India appoints Kunal Jamuar as head of West India

He joins in from Madison Media, where he was the general manager.

MPG India, a Havas Media Group agency, has appointed Kunal Jamuar as head of West India and executive director for its Mumbai office. Jamuar will be based in Mumbai, and will report to Anita Nayyar, chief executive officer of Havas Media and MPG South Asia.

Jamuar joins in from Madison Media, where he was the general manager. He spent three years there, handling the entire Godrej portfolio.

Jamaur will be responsible to grow the business for the MPG office in Mumbai. In addition, he will also work with different units within the agency, including Media Contacts, and Havas Sports and Entertainment to plan out integrated solutions for existing clients, as well as the new ones.

In an official communique, Nayyar says, "Jamuar is a very mature media professional with a fire in his belly to make it big and go for the big kill. His hunger to make things happen really impressed us."

On his appointment, Jamuar says, "One of the key reasons for joining MPG is that I find them to be a 'future ready' agency, with a healthy focus on new media, new tools and new way of thinking. I look forward to supporting MPG's objective in achieving its respectful place in the Indian media space."

With 15 years of experience in media planning, buying, strategy and account management, and having an opportunity to work on a series of blue chip international and local brands across categories ranging from FMCG to telecom to automobile, Jamuar started his career with ORG- MARG in 1996. After that he worked in several agencies like Media Direction, Lintas Media Group and Mudra Communications.

He has also had the opportunity to work with several brands like Idea Cellular, UTI mutual fund, Bajaj Auto, ITC, and Godrej, to mention a few.
