RAM Week 12: Radio Mirchi and Big FM grab top spots

Fever FM lost 5.4 percentage points in Delhi.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 12 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi still leads in the city with a market share of 16.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 15.4 per cent.

AIR FM2-Gold is still at No. 2 with a market share of 14.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 12.6 per cent.

Red FM moves up to No. 3, and has a market share of 13.5 per cent, registering a gain of 1.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 12.9 per cent.

Radio City slips down to the fourth position in Mumbai, with a market share of 12.7 per cent; its last four weeks' average market share is 14 per cent. Big FM shares the same position with the radio station, with its last four weeks' average market share standing at 13.5 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 5 in the city with a market share of 7.6 per cent, registering a gain of 1.2 percentage points.

Radio One is placed sixth with a market share of 5.7 per cent, having lost 0.2 percentage points in the past week. Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 4.9 per cent, losing 0.8 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 12, AIR FM1-Rainbow has a market share of 4.7 per cent, followed by Oye! FM, with 4.3 per cent and Akashavani Mumbai, with 3.3 per cent market share.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi remains at the top position in Delhi, registering a market share of 22.7 per cent, with a gain of 3.3 percentage points. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 20.6 per cent.

This week, AIR FM2-Gold comes down to the second position with a market share of 20.9 per cent, though it registered a gain of 1.5 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 17.7 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 3 with a market share of 13.8 per cent, registering a massive loss of 5.4 percentage points. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 21.5 per cent.

Radio City and Red FM have secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with market shares of 11.2 per cent and 9.3 per cent. The former gained 0.4 percentage points, while the latter lost 0.3 percentage points compared to last week. The average market shares for the stations for the last four weeks are 9.6 per cent and 9.2 per cent, respectively.

Big FM is still at No. 5, registering a market share of 6.9 per cent with a gain of 0.3 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is also 6.9 per cent.

Radio One, at No. 6, has registered a market share of 6.4 per cent, showing a gain of 1 percentage point. The station's previous week's share was 5.2 per cent.

In Week 12, Oye! FM and AIR FM1-Rainbow have garnered market shares of 2.7 per cent and 2.2 per cent, respectively. The average market shares of the stations for the last four weeks are 3 per cent and 2.4 per cent, respectively.

Next in line is HIT 95 FM, with a market share of 2.1 per cent; Vividh Bharati Delhi registered 1.4 per cent market share, while Akashavani Delhi registered 0.5 per cent.

Bengaluru

Big FM still leads the pack in Bengaluru with a market share of 18.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage points. The station's average market share for the last four weeks stands at 18 per cent.

Radio Mirchi is at No. 2 with a market share of 18.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.6 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 3 and has a market share of 13.7 per cent, registering a loss of 1.9 percentage points compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 14.8 per cent.

Red FM is still at the fourth position, with a market share of 10.4 per cent, which is 0.8 percentage points less than that of last week.

Radio One moves up to No. 5 with a market share of 10.1 per cent, which is 1.6 percentage points more compared to last week's rating.

At No. 6, AIR FM1-Rainbow has a market share of 9.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points.

Fever FM slips down to the seventh position with a market share of 8.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points.

AIR FM1-Vividh Bharati has a market share of 7.5 per cent, registering a loss of 1 percentage point as compared to Week 11.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 12 are Radio Indigo, which has a market share of 2.6 per cent, followed by Gyan Vani (0.5 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.2 per cent, registering a loss of 1.6 percentage points compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 21.3 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 16.2 per cent and Friends FM has a market share of 13.8 per cent. The radio stations' average market shares for the last four weeks are 16.7 per cent and 13.2 per cent, respectively.

Aamar FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 13.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 13.1 per cent.

Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city, with a market share of 9.4 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 9.1 per cent.

Red FM and Oye! FM are next in line, with market shares of 8.1 per cent and 4.3 per cent, respectively. While the former radio station gained 0.1 percentage points, the latter lost 0.1 percentage points in the week. Radio One follows with a market share of 3.9 per cent.

In Week 12, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2-Gold has a market share of 3.6 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.8 per cent), Power FM (1.9 per cent), and Akashavani (1.4 per cent).
