Radio Mirchi, Big FM, and Fever FM lead in metros

Radio Mirchi leads in Kolkata and Mumbai, but is upstaged by Fever in Delhi; Big FM rules Bengaluru.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 17-20 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi takes on the lead position from Radio City in Week 17-Week 21, with an average market share of 15.8 per cent. The station registered a marginal loss of 0.1 percentage points as compared to the average market share of Week 13-Week 16.

Radio City slips down to No. 2 with an average market share of 15.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 percentage points as compared to the average market share of Week 13-Week 16.

AIR FM2-Gold is still at No. 3, and has an average market share of 13.2 per cent for the last four weeks. The station's average market share for Week 13-Week 16 was 13.4 per cent.

Red FM is in the fourth position in Mumbai, with an average market share of 12.7 per cent; its average market share for Week 13-Week 16 was 12.6 per cent. Big FM is at No. 5, with an average market share of 11.8 per cent, registering a massive loss of 1.4 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16. Fever FM is still at No. 6 in the city, with an average market share of 8.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.9 percentage points. Radio One is placed seventh, with an average market share of 6.1 per cent, having gained 0.6 percentage points in the past four weeks. Vividh Bharati follows with an average market share of 5.1 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 17-Week 21, AIR FM-1 Rainbow has a market share of 4.8 per cent, followed by Akashavani, with 3.5 per cent market share.

Delhi

Fever FM emerges in the No. 1 position in Delhi, leaving behind Radio Mirchi, registering a market share of 19.4 per cent, and gaining 1.3 percentage points. The station's average market share for Week 13-Week 16 is 18.1 per cent.

AIR FM-2 Gold is still at second position in Delhi, with a market share of 18.7 per cent. Its average market share for Week 13-Week 16 is 19.1 per cent.

Radio Mirchi drops down to the third position with an average market share of 18.3 per cent in Week 17-Week 21. The radio station recorded a loss of 1.2 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16. In the fourth position, Radio City follows with an average market share of 10.7 per cent, recording a loss of 0.1 percentage points. The radio station gained 0.3 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16.

Red FM is at No. 5, registering an average market share of 8.8 per cent for the last four weeks, with a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Big FM comes next with 6.3 per cent average market share. The radio station recorded a loss of 0.6 percentage points compared to Week 13-Week 16.

Oye! and Radio One follow next, with average market shares of 4.6 per cent and 4.5 per cent, respectively. While the former recorded a gain of 1.1 percentage points, the latter recorded a loss of 0.7 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16.

Next in line are AIR FM1-Rainbow, with a market share of 3.9 per cent, and HIT 95 FM with 2.9 per cent.

Bengaluru

Big FM still leads the pack in Bengaluru in Week 17-Week 21, with an average market share of 19.1 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage points. Its average market share for Week 13-Week 16 was 18.8 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 2, with a market share of 18.6 per cent, registering a gain of 1.5 percentage points. Its average market share for Week 13-Week 16 was 17.1 per cent.

Radio Mirchi is at the third position, and has an average market share of 17.6 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16.

Red FM is still at the fourth position, with an average market share of 9.6 per cent, which is 0.6 percentage points less than that of the previous four weeks.

Radio One, at No. 5, garners an average market share of 9.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points as compared to Week 13-Week 16.

Fever FM and AIR FM1-Rainbow follow with average market shares of 8.7 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively.

Among the other radio stations in the city are Vividh Bharati (6.2 per cent), and Radio Indigo (2.3 per cent), followed by Gyan Vani (0.5 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 21.6 per cent in Week 17-Week 21, without registering any loss or gain as compared to the average record of the last four weeks.

Big FM and Aamar FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has an average market share of 16 per cent, while Aamar FM has an average market share of 13 per cent. The former radio station lost 0.2 percentage points, while the latter lost 0.6 percentage points as compared to the records of Week 13-Week 16.

Friends FM holds the fourth position with an average market share of 12.2 per cent, registering a loss of 1.3 percentage points as compared to the previous week. Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city, with an average market share of 9.9 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 9.6 per cent. Red FM and Oye! FM are next in line, with average market shares of 8.2 per cent and 4.7 per cent, respectively. While the former radio station's average market share for Week 13-Week 16 is 8.2 per cent, the latter's market share is 3.9 per cent. AIR FM2-Gold follows with a market share of 3.9 per cent.

Among the other stations in Kolkata in Week 17-Week 21, Radio One has a market share of 3.8 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.8 per cent), Power FM (1.6 per cent), and Akashavani (1.5 per cent).
