Contract Advertising wins creative mandate of Huawei Telecommunications

The agency that has won the business following a multi-agency pitch, will work on three verticals of Huawei -- Terminal, Enterprise and Network. Contract Advertising will work towards establishing the Huawei devices, including Android, tablets, and data cards in the Indian market.

Just after a year of handing over its creative duties, including above the line and below the line to Mudra, telecommunication company Huawei Telecommunications, has handed over its creative duties to Contract Advertising. The agency won the business through a multi-agency pitch. However, the names of the participating agencies could not be obtained at the time of filing this report.

Sethu Raman, director, marketing and solutions, Huawei, says, "We were looking for an agency which understands technology brands in business and consumer domains. The creative idea from Contract was adaptable to Huawei's multiple categories and true to its culture and beliefs of enriching its consumers' lives."

The task for Contract Advertising will be to establish the Huawei devices, including Android, tablets, and data cards in the Indian market. The agency will work on three verticals of Huawei -- Terminal, Enterprise and Network.

Prashant Mathur, general manager, Contract Advertising, says, "While we listened very attentively and keenly to the client's needs and requirements, in our presentation, we remained true to what we believed the corporate brand and the product brands required."

For the record, Huawei Devices is a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, with a presence in more than 140 countries. In India, Huawei Devices has been offering a range of high quality products for the past several years, in multiple categories such as mobile broadband, home convergence products, and smartphones.
