The denim wear brand Numero Uno Clothing is on the lookout for a creative agency. The company is currently in conversation with seven-eight creative agencies, of which Ignite Mudra, Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi have already made their presentations; the other agencies will present their thoughts and ideas in the coming weeks.

The size of the business is said to be about Rs 15 crore.

The development has been confirmed by a senior company official, who on the condition of anonymity says, "The idea is to give the denim brand a big push in the Indian apparel and denim market. Also, the creative duties will be awarded for a period of two years, after which, depending on the work, the contract will be renewed."

This is the first time that the home-based denim company has called for a large-scale pitch. Earlier, the creative duty was handled by a small creative shop, based in Delhi.

The denim brand targets consumers (men and women) in the age group of 18-35 years, and is positioned as a youthful, trendy and fashionable denim or casual wear brand for both men and women.

The company was incorporated in 1987 as Hi Fashion Clothing. It changed its name to Numero Uno Clothing in April, 2007. The company now owns four manufacturing units at Gurgaon and Manesar in Haryana, Okhla in Delhi, and Selaqui in Uttaranchal.

The company claims that its Gurgaon unit has one of the best in-house laundries in the country, with a capacity of 2,00,000 denim pieces a month.
