She will report to Sanjeev Bhargava, who is slated to join in a few days. Bhargava will replace Rohit Ohri, managing partner, JWT Delhi. Meanwhile, Sooda will report to Colvyn Harris, chief executive officer, JWT.

Sooda, who has always been an account management professional, specialises in the telecom category. At Bates 141, she was heading the Virgin Mobile account since its inception. Now, her mandate at JWT includes heading the Airtel business.

Sooda brings to the table about 15 years of experience in the industry. Starting her career in 1996, the first agency Sooda joined was Rediffusion-Y&R Delhi in 1997. This was when Sandeep Goyal was heading the agency's Delhi office.

After about two years, in 1999, Sooda moved to Leo Burnett Delhi. Here, she recalls working closely on the Coca-Cola business. A year later, she moved to Leo Burnett's sister concern, Orchard Advertising Bengaluru. In 2005, she moved to Leo Burnett Mumbai.

After spending eight and a half years at Leo Burnett, across branches (Leo Burnett Delhi, Orchard Advertising Bengaluru, then Leo Burnett Mumbai), Sooda moved to Bates 141 in December 2007. She was with Bates 141 for the past four years.
