Gufic appoints MPG India as media AOR

MPG will work for all its key brands including Roll On, Shapers, Stretch Nil and Kofend, as well as the soon-to-be launched brands, Relieve and Relax.

MPG India, the Havas Media-promoted media planning and buying agency, has bagged the media duties of Gufic Biosciences Ltd (GBSL). Gufic is a Mumbai-based company, with a focus on pharmaceutical and personal hygiene products. The company's key consumer brands are Roll On, Shapers, Stretch Nil and Kofend.

MPG will work for all of Gufic's key brands, including the soon-to-be launched brands, Relieve and Relax. The agency says that it plans to do some interesting work around these brands and set new trends with disruptive thinking.

GBSL's creative duties are being handled by Origin Beanstalk Creative Consultants.

In an official communiqué, Anil Kamath, vice-president, marketing and sales, GBSL, says, "The team at MPG showed a good understanding of the categories that we operate across. Given the nature of the brands and the high clutter in the space, it is not always easy to come up with innovative solutions -- but the MPG team did just that."

Anita Nayyar, chief executive officer, Havas Media India, says, "The personal hygiene industry is on an upswing as the consumers are getting more concerned about both health and hygiene. Our product offering will add value to the business, and our knowledge in the category will be enriched by working with Gufic."
