Strengthening its presence as a distributor of premium video content for regional and Bollywood movies, the digital provider of VAS content and enterprise messaging solutions, Unisys Infosolutions, announces the acquisition of distribution rights for streaming over 200 full-length movies. Viewers will be able to watch the films on popular online movie portals such as YouTube BoxOffice and Yahoo! Movies. In fact, over 100 of these videos will be available on these portals by the end of this month.
Addressing the development, Shelley Chaudhury, founder and managing director, Unisys Infosolutions, says in an official communiqué, "The ever-increasing upload views and subscriber base on UnisysMusic is a testament of our commitment to blend in the very best of entertainment content with state-of-the art video technology. This acquisition is a step ahead in meeting the channel's goal of offering unmatched premium content to our viewers."
Sumeet Singh, co-founder and executive director, Unisys Infosolutions, adds that the focus is on leveraging the digital medium for making entertainment widely available to increasingly internet-savvy audiences. "Initially, we will also be making 100 of these movies available as short films for the benefit of those who do not have the time to watch a full-length movie," Singh informs.
