R K Swamy BBDO has won the creative mandate for Manipal Health Enterprises (also known as MHE), an integrated hospital services group, which has a strong presence in South India.

The win is the result of a multi-agency pitch that was concluded around a couple of days back. R K Swamy BBDO's Bengaluru office will handle this business. It is also learnt that this win is a three-year long engagement for the agency.

Ogilvy India (South) currently handles the creative mandate for Manipal Education. The Manipal Group had appointed Ogilvy to handle this business back in 2006, and the account continues to lie with the agency.

Founded in 1990, Manipal Health Enterprises was formerly known as Manipal Healthcare Systems. The name was changed in August 2010. The company is based in Bengaluru, and has hospitals in Salem, Mangalore, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Kerala and Panaji (Goa).

Manipal Health Enterprises operates as a subsidiary of Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) International India.

MHE offers a variety of health care delivery services and technologies. It is presently a network of 15 hospitals comprising its flagship quaternary care facility located at Bengaluru, five tertiary care, nine secondary care and three primary clinics across four states.
