Hungama Digital wins social media and ORM business of LG electronics

The business will be managed from Hungama's Delhi office.

LG electronics has handed over the social media and online reputation management business to Hungama Digital Media. The business will be handled by the Delhi office of the agency.

As part of its mandate, Hungama Digital Media will look after the social media presence of the entire spectrum of brands offered by LG electronics.

Confirming the news, Kunal Arora, head of digital, Hungama Digital Media, tells afaqs! that the company will look after the entire consumer electronics business for LG electronics. "LG had set evaluation parameters, and we probably got selected based on the strategy that we presented and the creatives that we had designed," says Arora.

Vishal Srivastava, head, digital (corporate marketing) at LG Electronics, says that Hungama is being hired on a retainership basis. The size of the business for the digital agency remains undisclosed.

In May 2011, LG Electronics moved a chunk of its creative business to LG Ad. While in India, LG Ad is currently only working on LG brands, in Korea, the agency handles the creative mandate for other companies like Korean Air, and Daehan Investment & Trust, amongst others.
