McCann Erickson wins creative mandate for new bike from TVS stable

McCann Erickson has won the creative mandate for a new motorcycle to be launched by TVS. The win follows a pitch process which saw participation from all the agencies on the TVS roster. The business will be handled out of McCann Erickson's Bengaluru office.

The agency already handles the account of the Star City range of bikes from TVS.

Senior-level industry sources close to the development have confirmed the news to afaqs!.

Of late, TVS has only come up with variants of its existing range of vehicles. But, after a long time, it will now launch a new bike. According to the sources, the new two-wheeler is a closely guarded secret until it is officially introduced in the market. It is expected to be launched in early 2012.

Officials at TVS refused to comment on the new launch.

Incidentally, McCann Erickson is also working on a new commercial for TVS Star City, which involves its brand endorser, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The agencies currently on the TVS roster are Bates, McCann Erickson, and BBH. Bates handles TVS, McCann Erickson manages the duties for TVS Star City, and BBH handles the scooter brand Wego.
