More senior-level restructuring at Mudra

Arijit Ray will work on a new assignment in the DDB Asia-Pacific network while Sudarshan Banerjee will serve as director, business development, DDB Mudra Group.

In the wake of Mudra's recent integration with Omnicom and DDB Worldwide, the group has announced what it calls changes in the responsibilities of the agency's 'A team'.

Earlier this month, afaqs had reported that Mudra had roped in Vandana Das to head its North operations, while Rajiv Sabnis was moved to head the West operations. Ranji Cherian continued to head the southern operations.

Sabnis and Cherian will also initiate integration projects and business for DDB MudraMax from the existing clients within DDB Mudra and Mudra in their respective regions.

In the next level of restructuring, Mudra announced that Arijit Ray, who till recently was president, Mudra West, will now work with Kamath on a new assignment in the DDB Mudra Group, possibly in the DDB Asia-Pacific network.

Next, Sudarshan Banerjee has been named director, business development, DDB Mudra Group and will report to Pratap Bose, group chief operating officer. For Banerjee, this responsibility is in addition to his existing role as head, Mudra Ahmedabad.

Thirdly, Anurag Bansal will be director, finance, DDB Mudra Group and will now function as deputy to the group chief financial officer, Dilip Upadhyaya.

According to Kamath, with these changes, the restructuring of the Mudra Group is complete.

The fresh architecture and identity of 'the new DDB Mudra Group' will be revealed by the authorities at an official event scheduled to take place on February 28. John Zeigler, chairman and chief executive officer, DDB Asia Pacific, India and Japan, will be present on this occasion. The effective date for the change of identity and the roll-out is March 1.
