All GECs show downfall in GRPs; Zee grabs third spot

Breaking the tie with Zee, Sony has regained its No. 2 position. The relative share of the channel has gone up from 16.6 per cent to 16.8 per cent, according to TAM.

IPL has started having its effect. In the second week of IPL, all GECS have recorded a drop in weekly GRPS.

Star Plus is still leading the list with 262 GRPs, down from 271 GRPs that the channel scored in the previous week (Week 14). Its relative share is up from 21.3 per cent in the last week to 21.4 per cent in the current week (Week 15).

Breaking the tie with Zee (both garnered 211 GRPs in Week 14), Sony maintains its position at No. 2, with a decrease of 6 GRPs to clock 205 GRPs in the current week ending April 14 (as compared to 211 GRPs in the previous week). The relative share of the channel has gone up from 16.6 per cent to 16.8 per cent.

Coming down to the No. 3 position, Zee recorded 192 GRPs (down from 211 GRPs in Week 14) and its relative share is 15.7 per cent (compared to 16.6 per cent in the previous week).

Remaining at No. 4 for the second consecutive week, Colors has garnered 190 GRPs, down from last week's 203 GRPs. The channel's relative share came down from 16 per cent to 15.5 per cent.

Sony Entertainment's sibling channel SAB TV is at No. 5 with 122 GRPs (down from 125 GRPs in Week 14), while its relative share has moved up marginally to 10 per cent from 9.9 per cent of the previous week.

At No. 6, Life OK is at 85 GRPs, up from 80 GRPs of the last week. Its relative share is also up from 6.3 per cent to 7 per cent in the current week.

Imagine TV, with 57 GRPs and a channel share of 4.7 per cent, follows it. In the previous week, the channel clocked 64 GRPs, with 5 per cent relative share.

Sahara One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share has moved up to 3.8 per cent (3.6 per cent in the previous week), while its GRPs have remained stable at 46.

At No. 9, STAR Utsav garnered a relative share of 3.4 per cent (3.2 per cent in the previous week) with stable GRPs of 41.

At No. 10, DD1 has increased its ratings from 12 GRPs in the previous week to 13 GRPs, while its relative share remained steady at 1 per cent.

Zee Smile stood at No. 11 with 7 GRPs and 0.6 per cent relative share.

In the Top 10 programmes list, Diya Aur Bati Hum stood at the first position, clocking a TVR of 4.79. Next in the list, Saathiya Saath Nibhana from the Star Plus stable gathered 3.90 TVRs, while Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai stood at No. 3 with 3.58 TVRs.

Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta has climbed up to the No. 4 spot by clocking a TVR of 3.50.

At No. 5, Parichay from the Colors banner gathered a TVR of 3.48, followed by Colors' Balika Vadhu (3.31 TVR).

C.I.D has slipped down to No. 7 with 3.23 TVRs. Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (Star Plus) gathered 3.20 TVRs, while Colors' Sasural Simran Ka has entered the list (3.14 TVRs). Pratigya stood last in the list with 3.12 TVRs.
