BMW India scouts for media agency

The popular German auto company has briefed the leading media agencies for the pitch process which is currently underway in Delhi. The size of the account is estimated to be in the range of Rs 50-55 crore.

Industry sources close to the development have confirmed the news to afaqs!.

As part of the process, the automotive company, has met the leading media agencies and has briefed them for the first round of presentations. At present Carat Media India is the incumbent on the business.

Almost two years back, the company had launched its in-house creative agency Liquid Campaign in India without making much noise. Additionally, in India it works with Bangkok-based agency, U50K (U5 Opportunity Knocks). The agency was retained without a pitch in 2009.

Bayerische Motoren Werker, popularly known as BMW is a Germany based automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company.

Headquartered in Munich, Bavaria in Germany, it also owns and produces the mini marquee range or Mini Cooper range of automobiles and is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. BMW India, is a 100 per cent subsidiary of BMW.
