Crazeal.com, the Indian unit of global giant GROUPON Inc., has appointed Noida-based social media and digital consulting agency Iffort as its social media agency in an attempt to strategise its social media marketing efforts.
Sources reveal that no formal pitch process was held for this account. This is the first time that Crazeal.com has appointed a social media agency. The mainline media duties are handled by Lintas Initiative Media.
Iffort's role as a specialist agency for the brand will involve conceptualisation of social media campaigns, content ideation and planning, interactive community management and managing online reputation.
Commenting on the win, Sunny Jindal, director, Iffort, says, "The group-buying portal space has been growing at an exciting pace in India and we're pleased to be given the opportunity to work with a fun brand like Crazeal.com. We're also geared up to address the challenge of social media positioning for Crazeal in the already crowded group-buying segment. The agency plans to explore social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Search to manage the social media marketing for the e-commerce portal.
