9XM celebrates summer vacation with Summer Escape carnival

The carnival includes workshops on photography, clay sculpting, robotics, graphology, aero modelling, origami and many more. 9XM animated characters such as Bade-Chote and Bheegi Billi will perform live at the venue.

Summer Escape carnival

Bollywood music channel 9XM will celebrate the joy of summer vacations by organising a 'Summer Escape' carnival in association with Oberoi mall, Mumbai.

The carnival aims to entertain and amuse children with various activities including workshops on film making, graphology, aero modelling, origami, photography, clay sculpting, robotics and many more. The whole series of interesting creative activities and workshops have been carefully crafted for children and will be in sync with their interest levels, skill set and talent.

For creatively inclined kids, there will be workshops on pottery, clay sculpting, puppet making, clowning, fabric painting, canvas painting, photography and music segments. Techno enthusiasts can indulge in their interest with workshops like Junk Funk Robotics and Wireless Robotics.

9XM animated characters such as Bade-Chote and Bheegi Billi will perform live at the venue to entertain the audience. Large cut-outs of the characters at the venue will enable people to click pictures with them. Also, a 9XM iPad gaming zone has been created, wherein people can play games that are based on the channel's characters.

Amar Tidke, senior vice-president and head of content, 9X Media Group, says, "We constantly look to replicate our on-air 9XM experience across on-line and on-ground initiatives and the Summer Escape carnival aims to do just that. 9XM fans will be treated to loads of fun and interactive activities packed with gaming zones featuring our characters, music workshops and photo booths where you can capture some fun moments."

The workshops are open to all children and they will be gifted with 9XM goody bags, along with participation certificates from the channel.

Nirzar Jain, vice-president, Oberoi mall, says, "The workshops and activities will provide an everyday getaway to children and families who walk in. We look forward to welcoming customers to a whole lot of fun."

The 15-day Summer Escape carnival kicked off on May 11 and will continue till May 27.
