9X Media launches iPad app

Music television network 9X Media has launched the 9X Music Network Live application for iPads. The application allows users to get the music and other supporting content of 9X Music Television Network's four channels - 9XM, 9X Jalwa (Bollywood Hits music channel), 9X Tashan (Punjabi music channel) and 9X Jhakaas (Marathi music channel).

Commenting on the launch, Vibha Gosher, vice-president, digital, 9X Media Group, says, "The 9X Music Network Live app is targeted at the ever-growing segment of connected users who consume content on-the-move. This app will provide the users with the best experience of Bollywood and Indian regional music, along with entertaining short format shows featuring some our most interesting animated characters."

Users can get videos of various channel mascots such as Chhote & Bade, Bheegi Billi, Falli-Balli, Bhabhi, and Ullu Da Pattha. Clippings of channel properties such as Halkat Sawaal, Kawwa Kawwa, Kombdi Komedi, Chochya and Surmai, among others, will also be available.
