Best News Company plans to become a seven-channel network by the end of 2013, which will include Hindi news channels and one religious channel.
Best News Company, which plans to become a seven-channel network by the end of 2013, will launch its first channel under the brand name Samachar Plus on June 15. The test signals for the channel will be up from June 7.
For the record, the seven-channel network will include six Hindi news channels and one religious channel. Atul Aggarwal, executive editor, Best News Company, confirms the development to afaqs!.
The television network will be headed by Umesh Kumar, company director and editor-in-chief. Amitabh Agnihotry is the managing editor of Best News Company.
It is pertinent to note here that Kumar is also the managing editor of News Network of India (NNI), which runs as a separate independent news agency that provides news to leading newspapers and channels. However, both Best News Company and News Network of India (NNI) will run as different entities.
