The agency has appointed Sushobhan Chowdhury as vice-president, digital strategy, while Rahul Kaul has joined as vice-president, digital technology.
In a bid to extend its digital mandate, JWT has made senior level appointments to its digital team. The agency has appointed Sushobhan Chowdhury as vice-president, digital strategy, while Rahul Kaul has joined as vice-president, digital technology.
Prior to joining JWT, Chowdhury was employed with Leo Burnett East Africa as vice-president and general manger. Chowdhury, who has more than 14 years of experience, has worked with organisations such as TBWA, Bates India, India Today and Times of India, among others. He is a post graduate in mass communications.
Commenting on his new role, Chowdhury says, "I am very excited and at the same time honoured to be a part of JWT. My main intention and purpose is to build immunity towards digital marketing, both internally and externally. The pace at which digital is making an inroad into our lives and the impact it's having on our perception, behaviour and culture, we can no more sit back and relax and expect consumers to walk the road with us."
Kaul, who has more than 13 years of experience, was earlier working with Sulekha.com. He has worked with companies such as AMEX, Citibank, eBay, PayPal and UNICEF.
Commenting on his future plans, Kaul says, "Bringing together a strong, creative-driven, technologically sound and working-on-the-edge team and bringing the technological innovation tops my to-do list in my new role. Whether it's in-house or outside association, my aim is to partner with the right and capable professionals and build a strong network of technology partners to provide effective solutions to the clients."
JWT recently appointed Kishore Subramanian as vice-president and executive planning director. Subramanian, who has more than 15 years of experience, has worked with agencies such as Grey, Lowe and Dentsu.
