Dalmia Bharat Group has handed over its media duties to Aegis Media's Vizeum India. The agency was handling the media mandate for Dalmia Cement in Chennai, since July, 2010. The company has extended its partnership for its other businesses as well, including, sugar, green energy and refractory industries.
The size of the business is pegged at Rs 20 crore, as per the market sources. The business will be handled by the Delhi and Chennai offices of the agency.
Confirming the news, B K Singh, executive director, group marketing and corporate communications, Dalmia Bharat, says, "It was a natural choice given our satisfactory partnership in cement business that we didn't need to look beyond Vizeum for the media duties of the group. The agency had a proven track record with Dalmia Cement. The team is proactive, extremely passionate and provides a good balance of thinking and doing."
The company had called for a creative pitch for its cement business in April, which was won by JWT, following a multi-agency pitch process. However, the digital duties of the group were handed over to Olive e-Business in December, 2011 following a multi-agency pitch.
Recently, JWT Delhi was appointed by the Dalmia Bharat Group to handle its corporate campaign duties.
A significant marketing initiative will be launched soon, since the company has also finalised its creative and media partners.
For the records, Vizeum India won two accounts in this month, while since January, 2012, the agency has added seven new accounts in its kitty, this being the eighth one.
