Rashmi Berry is chief marketing officer for Homeshop18

As part of the new mandate, Berry will build and establish brand HomeShop18 across the business verticals of TV, web and mobile. She will report to Sundeep Malhotra, CEO and founder, HomeShop18.

HomeShop18, the home shopping channel from the Network18 stable, has roped in Rashmi Berry as chief marketing officer.

As part of the new mandate, Berry will be responsible for building and establishing the HomeShop18 brand across the business verticals of TV, web and mobile. She will report to Sundeep Malhotra, CEO and founder, HomeShop18.

Commenting on the appointment, Malhotra says, "We are happy to have Rashmi on board. Her rich marketing background and deep understanding of consumer behaviour will contribute immensely to further consolidate our brand and entrench us deeper with our continuously expanding consumer base."

Earlier, Berry was with the HT Media Group, where she was business head for Hindustantimes.com, Livehindustan.com and HT Mobile.

Armed with 18 years of experience, Berry has worked across various media domains including the India Today Group and STAR TV India. Also, as a senior consultant and practice head at Quadra Advisory, she has worked on the brand launches and marketing strategies for brands including Max Healthcare, All Out, Moser Baer and Sundrop edible oil.

Berry says in an official communiqué, "Virtual retail in India is going through an explosive phase of growth, with increasing penetration, technology innovations, product range expansion and increasing competition. I look forward to the exciting journey as HomeShop18 achieves leadership not only in market share but also in mind share."

Berry holds a degree in management from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and is a graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
