AdvertisingAllied Media Network, the media planning, buying and evaluation arm of Percept Limited, has roped in Shilpa Dhanu as head, M3 Project and Strategy Team. She moves in from Star Media Entertainment, where she was working as senior manager, consumer insights.
She will report to Shripad Kulkarni, CEO, Allied Media.
In an official communiqué, Dhanu says, "Allied Media has been in the forefront in charting out effective media mixes for clients. I look forward to join Allied Media, work on multinational brands and be an active part in its communication strategy."
A graduate in commerce from H R College, Dhanu comes in with 18 years of experience. She began her career in 1995 as consultant, planning at Ogilvy & Mather. In 1999, she moved to Initiative Media as media supervisor.
After spending more than three years in Initiative, Dhanu joined Carat Media Services in 2003 as associate business director. Later, she moved to UTV Bindass and Hungama TV as vice-president, research and strategic planning.
In 2009, she joined CSRIdentity.com as a project consultant on CSR, lastly moving to STAR TV.
For the record, Allied Media launched its Centralised Data Analytical Cell last year. The specialised vertical leverages various strategic initiatives across all media companies of the Percept Group for the clients. It conducts research and collates data on key sectors and industries on a round the clock basis.
