Dunlop India looks for creative partner for Falcon Tyres
The tyre manufacturing company that operates under the Ruia Group has already started evaluating agencies for this brand that is marketed under the Dunlop umbrella in the Indian market.
Dunlop Tyres is on the lookout for a creative agency for Falcon Tyres. The tyre manufacturing company has already begun its initial level talks with different agencies.
Marketed under the Dunlop brand in India, products of Falcon Tyres are supplied to various leading automotive manufacturers in India. Falcon has a presence in the export and replacement segments of the market as well. Incorporated in 1973, Falcon has a manufacturing unit at Mysore that was taken over by the Ruia Group in December, 2005.
The size of the business or the spend on media could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report; however, it is known to be substantial.
Dunlop, owned by the Ruia Group, is one of the foremost and prestigious brands in the Indian tyre industry. The group is the market leader in 2/3 wheeler tyres in India.
Dunlop started marketing cycle tyres in India in 1896 only to incorporate its business in India as Dunlop Rubber Company in 1926. Later, it shifted its headquarters to Kolkata. In 2005, the Ruia Group led by Pawan Kumar Ruia took control of Dunlop India.
