Designers can sign up at DesignXchange to showcase their services that consumers can browse through. Currently in beta phase, the company claims that over 1,000 designers have already registered with DesignXchange. It further claims that many designers have secured projects in a short time.

BigRock looks to enrol 5,000 website designers by the end of this year and to make it a pan-India initiative.

Bhavin Turakhia, founder, BigRock, says, "BigRock's vision is to be the destination of choice for anyone looking for a website - business or individual. Website design is a specialised activity, which requires designers to understand the needs of the customer in depth and to customise a solution for their needs. While BigRock continues to focus on providing best-in-class products for domains, hosting, and servers, which is the infrastructure that powers websites, we invite web designers to work with us and our customers to create mutual value for all of us."

"Fundamentally, customers care about four aspects when choosing a designer - location, price, quality, and reviews. On DesignXchange, customers search for designers by specifying their budget and their preferred location. Designers, on the other hand, can provide samples of their work to allow customers to see examples of their work. Our insights tell us that many Indian consumers are looking for skilled web designers in their city and DesignXchange is fundamentally built around this principle. At the same time, the platform empowers designers from remote locations to be accessible by a larger audience," says Shashank Mehrotra, general manager and business head, BigRock.

BigRock plans to recruit designers on this platform and promote them across its customer base to drive value for its customers. It has also put in place a dedicated account management team to work together with the designers to set up their presence on DesignXchange.
