Mallikarjunadas CR to head Starcom MediaVest Group

Mallikarjunadas CR a.k.a Malli will be the overall head for Starcom MediaVest Group in India stepping in place of CVL Srinivas, the outgoing chairman, though, he will continue to be called the CEO.

Mallikarjunadas CR (popularly known as Malli) will now head Starcom MediaVest Group in India . Malli takes the baton from CVL Srinivas, who has moved to GroupM as South Asia, CEO.

While he continues to remain as the CEO, in his new role, he will report to Matt Blackborn, president, emerging markets, Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG). He will now join the Global Management Group, (SMG leadership team of market and client leaders).

Blackborn in an official communique, says, "Since being named as CEO, Malli has worked very closely with CVL Srinivas (Srini). During this time, Srini helped us build a new management structure and transitioned leadership responsibilities to Malli. With the structure set and a strong management team in place, the transition has been completed, and Srini is leaving the company."

As CEO, Malli has been responsible for the day-to-day management of SMG's clients in India, as well as leading its business momentum with recent wins such as Dabur, Axis Bank and Aircel, and leading the development of innovative products and an analytical center for SMG.
