MCCS gets Gautam Sharma as VP and national sales head

As part of his new mandate, Sharma will drive revenues of the entire network. He will report to Avinash Pandey, chief operating officer, MCCS. This is his second stint at the company.

Media Content and Communications Services India (MCCS) has roped in Gautam Sharma as vice-president and national sales head.

As part of his new mandate, Sharma will drive revenues of the entire network. He will report to Avinash Pandey, chief operating officer, MCCS. This is his second stint at the company.

Earlier, Sharma was with India TV as head of the all-India revenue for the network. This included airtime sales revenue, events and special properties.

His first stint with MCCS was in 2006 when he joined the network as assistant vice-president to head revenue for STAR News, STAR Ananda and STAR Majha through North India. He spent about four years with the company before joining India TV as senior vice-president, sales.

A commerce graduate from Delhi University and an MBA in marketing and finance from Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Sharma began his career as deputy manager, ad sales with the TV Today Network (Aaj Tak). He spent more than four years with the company before moving to STAR India as assistant manager, ad sales in 2005. There, he handled the airtime sales for STAR One and STAR Gold.
