eBay India dons new logo

While the new logo retains the core elements of the earlier one, it is a little more toned down with a cleaner look. The letters, however, continue to touch one another.

eBay India, the Indian arm of the international online shopping and auctions portal, has decided to switch to a new logo as part of the company's global transition process.

The company has decided to change its logo after 17 years (since its launch in 1995) in a bid to reflect today's cleaner, more contemporary and consistent shopping experience.

While the new logo retains the core elements such as the colour scheme of the earlier one, it is a little more toned down and cleaner compared to the earlier messy and overlapped look. The letters, however, continue to touch one another.

The company notes that "the vibrant eBay colours and touching letters represent the connected and diverse eBay community, which comprises more than 108 million active users and 25 million sellers globally."

It has seven million live listings across 2,000 categories of products in electronics, lifestyle, collectibles and media verticals. In addition to merchants, brands and retailers also sell directly on eBay India.
