STAR India gets Danish Khan to head fiction programming

Khan replaces Suzana Ghai, fiction head at Star Plus. He will report to Nachiket Pantvaidya, general manager, Star Plus.

STAR India has roped in Danish Khan to head fiction for its top Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Star Plus. The news is confirmed by a STAR spokesperson, who says that Khan joined office on January, 4.

With this, Khan replaces Suzana Ghai, fiction head at Star Plus. He will report to Nachiket Pantvaidya, general manager, Star Plus.

Earlier, Khan was associated with Multi Screen Media, where he led the marketing function for its flagship GEC, Sony Entertainment Television.

Armed with more than 10 years of experience in advertising and broadcasting, Khan joined MSM's sports and movie channel Max in 2002 and moved on to become senior vice-president and head of marketing for Sony Entertainment in 2008.

Before joining MSM, Khan was senior manager, strategic media planning at Mediacom India.
