Dhiman Mukherji, director, marketing solutions for LinkedIn India, has put in his papers.
"India remains an important and growing market for LinkedIn. Nishant K Rao, the country manager for India, will continue to oversee the LinkedIn marketing solutions team in India as part of his broader responsibilities," the spokesperson adds.
An MBA in marketing from International Management Institute, Mukherji began his career as manager with the Times Of India's sales division, Times Response.
After spending six years with the company (1996-2002), he joined Rediff.com as group sales manager. Mukherji joined Google in December 2005. He was the founding member of the direct sales organisation (DSO) of Google.com India operations and handled sales for specialised verticals such as classifieds, retail, real estate, auto and FMCG.
After spending a little more than one year with Google, he moved to AOL, India as sales head.
There, he was responsible for generating revenue through ad-sales on AOL properties such as aol.in and winamp.com. Five months into AOL and he was called to join LinkedIn India as director, marketing solutions. Here, he was responsible for developing the strategy and team for advertising sales and driving awareness around LinkedIn's marketing solutions offerings.First Published : September 25, 2014 04:04 PM
