DDB Mudra group creative directors Ashish Phatak and Aman Mannan will take on additional responsibility of leading the creative functions of the agency's digital arm Tribal DDB. In addition to this, Tribal DDB has appointed Satish Sethumadhavan (popularly known as Sethu) as creative director. Sethu was with Ogilvy & Mather, Bangalore, earlier. According to the agency, the move has come at the wake of Tribal DDB winning new business accounts - Danon Narang Blue, Marico's Set Wet (entire range), McDonald's, Kimberly Clarke - in the last few months.

Both Phatak and Mannan started their stint at DDB Mudra in 2010 and have worked on brands like LIC, Godrej, Future Group, Union Bank of India and so on. They have also individually and together won awards such as Abbys, Cannes, Effies, Emvies and London International Festival among others.

Meanwhile, Sethu with over a decade's experience, has worked on brands like Coca Cola, Western Union, American Express, ITC's Bingo, Haywards and Titan. Apart from winning various national and international awards, his best award winning digital campaign was for Titan HTSE.

Sonal Dabral, chairman and chief creative officer, DDB Mudra Group, says, "We want to be the best when it comes to providing breakthrough creative solutions to our clients across multiple media and platforms. With this new beefed up creative structure at Tribal DDB, we are walking our talk."

Venkat Mallik, president, Tribal DDB and Rapp India, says that the best work in the digital space would emerge only from the fusion of brand creative thinking in tandem with digital inventiveness. "We are building our team with award winning talent with backgrounds in digital, as well as, mainstream brand communication."
