Ritesh Singh steps down as national director, MEC Interaction

Singh, who has 14 years of experience across activation and digital, joined MEC India in July 2012.

Ritesh Singh, who had joined MEC India in July, 2012 as national director, MEC Interaction - the digital arm of MEC, has put in his papers at the company. Though Singh declined to comment, sources close to the development have confirmed the news to afaqs!. His next move remains unknown.

Singh reported to T Gangadhar, managing director, MEC India and Tushar Vyas, managing partner, GroupM Interactions, South Asia. Prior to joining MEC, Singh was business head, India for SMG Digital - the digital arm of Starcom MediaVest Group. Singh was responsible for the growth of the digital business of the agency.

Singh has more than 14 years of experience across activation and digital. In his earlier role, he led the conception and deployment of digital strategy. His experience spans an array of clients including Samsung, Aircel, Western Union, General Motors, SAB Miller and Himalaya.

Suraj Nambiar, head of MEC Interaction, had quit the organisation in March 2012, following which Singh was appointed.

MEC Interaction is a GroupM agency that offers a full suite of digital services - search, social, display, online video, mobile, analytics, creative and production.
