Leo Burnett Worldwide's Venke Sharma joins STAR TV

Sharma has been appointed as vice-president, network digital marketing at STAR TV. Earlier, he led the digital operations at Leo Burnett Worldwide's Indonesia operations.

CVS Sharma aka Venke, former executive director and head of digital - technical advisor at Leo Burnett Worldwide, has joined STAR TV in the position of vice-president, network digital marketing. At STAR TV, Sharma will spearhead digital marketing initiatives of all channels owned by News Corporation.

Sharma was working at Leo Burnett Indonesia's Jakarta office for one-and-a-half years and was associated with the agency for six years, where he headed and built Arc Worldwide as an integrated marketing service agency. Armed with 16 years of experience, Sharma has a wide knowledge and experience in creation of digital communication for brands across categories.

Sharma has also worked with DDB Mudra (2000-06), where he helped build Tribal DDB, Mudra's digital agency.

Some of the brands he has worked on include Coca-Cola, P&G, McDonald's, Samsung, Temposcan and Minute Maid.
