GEC Watch: Sony's loss is Colors' gain

As per the TAM data provided to subscribers, Zee TV, at No. 2, has gained 6 GRPs to clock 169 points in Week 16. Three of its shows made it to the most watched shows' list.

Colors, at No. 3 with 167 GRPs, remained stable in Week 15 and added 11 GRPs in Week 16. Also, three of the channel's shows were in the list of the top shows this week.

Sony has gone down by one position in the tally. It is at No. 4 with 165 GRPs in Week 16. It has added 5 GRPs over the previous week. Only one of its shows made it to the top show's list.

SAB TV, the sibling channel of Sony, was able maintain its foothold at the fifth spot with 123 GRPs. Though it remained stable in Week 15, it has lost 14 GRPs this week. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmah, its flagship show, has maintained its claim among the most watched shows.

Life OK, the sibling GEC of Star Plus, has scored 103 GRPs, with a marginal drop of 7 GRPs to stand at the sixth position. None of its shows feature in the top shows' list this week.

Sahara One stands at the seventh position with 21 GRPs. The channel was able to gain 2 GRPs in Week 16.

The third spot was shared by Star Plus' Saathiya and Colors' Madhubala with 2.7 average TVRs.

Interestingly, the fourth spot was shared by shows from Colors, Zee and SAB TV. Balika Vadhu, Qubool Hai and Tarak Mehta... were able to garner 2.6 average TVRs for Week 16.

The fifth spot was taken by Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke (Zee) with average TVRs of 2.5; Veera, a Star Plus property, stood at sixth position with 2.4 average TVRs.

Pavitra Rishta from Zee took the seventh spot with 2.2 average TVRs. Sasural Simar ka (Colors) was at the eighth spot with 2.1 average TVRs.

The ninth spot was bagged by Master Chef of Star Plus, while the 10th spot was taken by Crime Patrol (Sony), with 2 and 1.9 average TVRs, respectively.
